Festivals and Cultural Events in Québec City This September
September certainly doesn’t mark the end of summer excitement in Québec City. Music, film, dance and major celebrations continue to bring the city to life throughout the month. When staying at Maison du Fort in the heart of Old Québec, you’ll be ideally located to enjoy many of these must-see events.
From September 4 to 6, 2026, Québec City Pride brings a festive celebration of diversity to Place D’Youville, Saint-Jean Street and the surrounding area. During the same weekend, Unity Electro Fest, held September 4 to 6, brings electronic music fans together for three days of festivities. A few days later, the Québec City Film Festival, running September 9 to 13, puts cinema in the spotlight with a program filled with films, discoveries and special events.
Music also takes centre stage with Fono Festival, held September 10 to 12 on the Université Laval campus, as well as Envol et Macadam, bringing alternative music to the Agora du Port de Québec from September 10 to 12. Later in the month, Danser le Petit Champlain, taking place September 18 to 20, brings dance into the heart of one of Québec City’s most iconic neighbourhoods.
Whether you love music, cinema, dance or simply the energy of a great festival, September offers plenty of opportunities to experience Québec City and enjoy the final days of summer.
