With its historic streets, art galleries, lively neighbourhoods and rich heritage, Québec City is a natural destination for cultural discovery. In September, several events offer a different way to experience the capital and explore its art, history and iconic landmarks.

On September 5, 2026, La Nuit des Galeries invites visitors to explore the art galleries of Petit-Champlain and the surrounding area during a special evening in the heart of Old Québec. Just a short walk from Maison du Fort, it’s a wonderful opportunity to rediscover the city’s historic streets in a completely different atmosphere.

On September 19 and 20, Battlefields takes visitors back in time with historical reenactments on the Plains of Abraham. On September 26, Sur la piste des Regards Fous offers a more unusual artistic experience with a walking route through the Saint-Vallier area, encouraging participants to notice unexpected details throughout the urban landscape.

Finally, on September 30, in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a guided tour of the Cap Diamant Dialogue Space offers a meaningful opportunity for discovery and reflection.

Throughout September, art, heritage and history come together to reveal another side of Québec City—sometimes unexpected and always worth discovering.
